Architectural Visualization2022
Blue Caves Restaurant
Inspired by the Mediterranean light, the crystal blue water and the cosy aesthetics of Greek islands, we went to Zakynthos for this internal case study and visualized a typical Greek restaurant on the coast. Large open spaces, the typical architecture and olive trees characterize the overall picture. The aim of the project was to study different lighting conditions to those we normally use in our typical projects located in Germany and to create typical Greek vegetation. The result is a series of high-end visualizations that immediately trigger wanderlust.

One of the most important aspects of architectural visualization is light. Just as in traditional photography, it also plays the main role in virtual image production and determines the overall character of an image. Every place on earth has different lighting conditions and conventional advertising photo productions are deliberately carried out at specific locations around the globe in order to capture precisely these particular lighting conditions. People today are subconsciously able to recognize these differences in the color and intensity of the light and know immediately whether a picture was taken in Germany, South Africa or elsewhere, even if the picture content does not immediately reveal this. In virtual image production, it is a little easier logistically – because we can reproduce every lighting situation on the computer. That’s why we regularly train the eyes and skills of our graphic designers and 3D artists in internal project studies, where they have to deliberately go to other locations virtually. This enables you to develop the right lighting setup for your architectural visualizations and produce convincing visualizations for your target group.
